Use of Accessibility Service API:
Our App utilizes Android's AccessibilityService API to detect when you are actively viewing short-form video players (such as YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, and TikTok). This is the core engine of the App, allowing us to enforce your daily screen time limits.
- How We Use It: The service parses your screen layout elements in real-time to detect the presence of Reels/Shorts container resource IDs. When you exceed your daily allowance, it executes an automated intervention (such as a system Back-Press command or displaying a mindful breathing overlay).
- Data Protection: The Accessibility Service does not collect, capture, store, or upload any information from your screen. It runs entirely locally on your device. We do not monitor your private messages, keystrokes, personal details, credentials, or other system behaviors.
- Optional Setting: You can enable or disable this service at any time via the device's system settings. Disabling the service will suspend the App's scroll-blocking capabilities.
3. Data Collection and Transmission
We do not collect any personal data, usage data, or device-specific metrics. Because our App operates entirely offline and locally:
- No personal identification data is stored.
- No network requests are made to external servers to share user metrics.
- All preferences, statistics, saved time, and daily scrolling metrics are kept secure in the App's private local database (SharedPreferences) on your device.
